Kenneth Branagh, Anna Paquin, Meryl Streep Among London Film Critics Circle Award Winners

The winners of the London Film Critics Circle Awards have been announced, according to published reports. The prizes were presented in a ceremony held on January 19 at BFI Southbank.

Among the winners are Anna Paquin and Meryl Streep who tied for the Actress of the Year Award, for their respective performances in Margaret and The Iron Lady. Jean Dujardin received the Award for Actor of the Year for his work in The Artist, and Kenneth Branagh (My Week With Marilyn) and Sareh Bayat (A Separation) won in the supporting performer categories. In addition, Michael Fassbender (A Dangerous Method) and Olivia Colman (The Iron Lady) received honors as British Actor and Actress of the Year, and Craig Roberts received the Young British Performer of the Year Award.

Along with the honors to performers, the London Film Critics Circle bestowed its Film of the Year Award on The Artist, naming it along with The Separation, Drive, Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy, The Tree of Life, We Need to Talk About Kevin, Melancholia, Shame, Margaret, and The Descendants the Top 10 Films of 2011.
