Rebecca Brooksher, Adam Green, Portia et al. Set for Rajiv Joseph’s Monster at the Door at Alley Theatre

Rebecca Brooksher, Adam Green, Portia, Brian Reddy, and James A. Stephens will star in the world premiere of Rajiv Joseph’s The Monster at the Door, to be presented at the Alley Theatre in Houston, April 29-May 29. Daniella Topol will direct.

In the play, the commissioning of a colossal art work for display in the lobby of a global corporation launches a surreal journey that explores the mythic power of attraction, seduction and transformation, and the events surrounding a mysterious woman whose healing touch leaves destruction and chaos.

The production will feature scenic design by Kevin Rigdon, costume design by Amy Clark, lighting design by Tyler Micoleau, and sound design by Jill BC DuBoff .

Joseph is currently represented on Broadway with Bengal Tiger at the Baghdad Zoo, which was a finalist for the Pulitzer Prize. His other works include Gruesome Playground Injuries, Animals Out of Paper, The Leopard and the Fox, All This Intimacy, and Huck & Holden.
