Woolly Mammoth Extends Sarah Ruhl’s In the Next Room Through October 3

Woolly Mammoth Theatre Company has extended Sarah Ruhl’s In the Next Room or the vibrator play for a second time, with the production now scheduled to close on October 3. Aaron Posner has directed the production.

The play focuses on a physician at the dawn of the electrical age, who utilizes a new medical device developed to pacify “hysterical” women to shockingly different ends.

The company features Katie deBuys (Catherine Givings), Eric Hissom (Dr. Givings), Sarah Marshall (Annie), Kimberly Gilbert (Sabrina Daldry), James Konicek (Mr. Daldry), Jessica Frances Dukes (Elizabeth), and Cody Nickell (Leo Irving).

The creative team includes Daniel Conway (scenic design), Helen Q. Huang (costume design), Colin K. Bills (lighting design), and James Sugg (sound design).
