Kathleen Carroll and Joan Cushing’s Ramana’s Garden to Receive Benefit Reading

The musical play Ramana’s Garden, featuring script and lyrics by Kathleen Carroll and Joan Cushing with music by Cushing, will receive a benefit staged reading with live band, to be held at Adventure Theater in Historic Glen Echo Park, Maryland on Friday, July 16 at 7pm. Lynn Sharp Spears will direct.

The work is based on the true stories of children living at the orphanage of the same name, located in Rishikesh, India, overlooking the Ganges River. It is a home for abandoned, destitute, and abused children who are given food, shelter, education, and love. The event will also feature the opportunity to meet Dr, Prabhavati Dwabha, who founded Ramana’s Garden.

Proceeds from this fundraiser will go to support the children of Ramana’s Garden. Minimum suggested donation is $25.
