Matt Bailey, Joseph Leo Bwarie, Josh Franklin, Steve Gouveia to Star for D.C. Engagement of Jersey Boys

Matt Bailey, Joseph Leo Bwarie, Josh Franklin, and Steve Gouveia will star as, respectively, Tommy DeVito, Frankie Valli, Bob Gaudio, and Nick Massi for the Washington D.C. engagement of Jersey Boys, to play the National Theatre, October 1-December 12.

The Tony Award-winning musical about the pop group The Four Seasons is directed by two-time Tony Award-winner Des McAnuff; and it is written by Academy Award-winner Marshall Brickman and Rick Elice, with music by Bob Gaudio, lyrics by Bob Crewe, and choreography by Sergio Trujillo.

The cast will also feature Jonathan Hadley, Joseph Siravo, Christopher DeAngelis, Graham Fenton, John Gardiner, Buck Hujabre, Leo Huppert, Michelle Knight, Renée Marino, Brandon Matthieus, Denise Payne, Nathan Scherich, Brian Silverman, Courter Simmons, Ryan Strand, Katie Tomlinson, Kara Tremel, and Kevin Worley.

The creative team includes Klara Zieglerova (set), Jess Goldstein (costumes), Howell Binkley (lighting), Steve Canyon Kennedy (sound), Michael Clark (projections), Charles LaPointe (wig and hair), Steve Orich (orchestrations), and Ron Melrose (music direction).

Jersey Boys is the winner of the 2006 Best Musical Tony Award, the 2006 Grammy Award for Best Musical Show Album, and most recently, the 2009 Olivier Award for Best New Musical.
