Featuring music by Benny Andersson and Björn Ulvaeus, a book by Richard Nelson, and lyrics by Tim Rice, the 1984 cult musical of Cold War competition in love and chess is being given its first major Washington area production.
Kushnier plays the American chess master, Freddie Trumper, with Morton as the Russian chess master, Anatoly Sergievsky, and Paice as Freddie's second, Florence Vassy, the woman that both Freddie and Anatoly love.
