Izzard's previous solo shows include Dress to Kill, which won Emmy Awards for Outstanding Individual Performance and Outstanding Writing, Live at the Ambassadors, Unrepeatable, Circle, Definite Article, Glorious, and Sexie.

Izzard received a Tony Award nomination for the Roundabout Theatre's revival of A Day in the Death of Joe Egg, and his other stage credits include Lenny and David Mamet's The Cryptogram. His film and television credits include The Riches, Velvet Goldmine, Shadow of the Vampire, The Cat's Meow, My Super Ex-Girlfriend, and Across the Universe.
