What will hopefully be the first of many Broadway Unplugged concerts took place at The Town Hall last evening, giving audiences the rare opportunity to hear some of the musical theater's finest voices with no sound amplification whatsoever. Stephanie J. Block opened the concert with her powerhouse rendition of "Don't Rain on My Parade" from Funny Girl.

Aside from the singers depicted above, the concert featured memorable performances by Ludmila Ilieva, Bill Daugherty, Barbara Walsh, Michael Cerveris, Chuck Cooper, A.J. Irvin, and Christine Andreas. The stirring finale to the evening was a gorgeous, full-company choral rendition of "You'll Never Walk Alone" from Carousel.
