Bernadette Peters to Be Honored at Westport Country Playhouse’s Playing Our Songs Gala

Tony Award winner Bernadette Peters will receive the Distinguished Dedication and Service to the American Musical Theater Award at the Westport Country Playhouse’s gala, Playing Our Songs: Celebrating 80 Years of Musical Theater, to be held on Monday, September 19.

Peters will soon be seen on Broadway as Sally Durant Plummer in Follies. Her other Broadway credits include Song and Dance and Annie Get Your Gun, for which she won Tony Awards, as well as George M!, Mack and Mabel, Sunday in the Park with George, Into the Wood, Gypsy, and A Little Night Music.

In addition to the award presentation, the event will feature a retrospective of the musicals seen at the Playhouse stage since its founding in 1931.
