Candy Buckley, Rebecca Henderson, Merritt Janson, Olek Krupa Set for Yale Rep’s Autumn Sonata

Yale Repertory Theatre has announced casting for Ingmar Bergman’s Autumn Sonata, to run April 12 – May 7. Robert Woodruff will direct the production, based on a literal translation by Wendy Weckwerth and featuring music direction by Michaël Attias.

The piece centers on a celebrated classical pianist who has forged a successful career at the expense of her family. She attempts to reconcile with her daughter, whom she has not seen in seven years. The company will feature Candy Buckley, Rebecca Henderson, Merritt Janson, and Olek Krupa, as well as cellist Paul Brantley.

The creative team will include scenic designer Riccardo Hernandez, costume designer Candice Donnelly, lighting designer Jennifer Tipton, sound designer Chad Raines, and projection designer Peter Nigrini.
