Midwest Premieres by Chad Beckim, Neil LaBute,Tommy Nohilly Set for Profiles Theatre 2012-2013 Season

Profiles Theatre has announced the productions set for its 2012-2013 season of Midwest premieres.

The season will open with the Midwest premiere of Tommy Nohilly’s dark comedy about a working class family in Connecticut Blood From a Stone (August 17-October 7), directed by Matt Hawkins. Artistic Director Joe Jahraus will direct the Midwest premiere of Chad Bekim’s After (September 21-November 4), which tells the story of a man who is exonerated after seventeen years in prison. At the end of 2012, the theater will present a 20th anniversary production of Will Kern’s Hell Cab (November 9-December 23), the story of the longest night of one cab driver’s life, directed by Artistic Director Darrell W. Cox.

In the new year, Joe Jahraus will direct David West Read’s bittersweet story about moving on The Dream of the Burning Boy (January 18-March 10). The season’s final offering will be the Midwest premiere of The Break of Noon (April 5-May 26) by Neil LaBute. Directed by Rick Snyder, this play tells the story of a white-collar businessman who survives an office shooting.
