Rock of Ages to Play Chicago’s Broadway Playhouse

The national tour of Rock of Ages will play an extended sit-down engagement at the Broadway Playhouse at Water Tower Place, running June 5-August 4, according to a report in The Chicago Tribune.

Rock of Ages features a book by Chris D’Arenzio, and a score composed of iconic 1980s hits from bands such as REO Speedwagon, Journey, Styx, Foreigner, and Whitesnake.

The story centers on a young rocker hungry for his big break and a small town girl who meet in 1987 at a legendary Hollywood club facing its imminent demise.

In addition to the national tour, the show continues its Broadway run at the Helen Hayes Theatre. There is also a production running in London at the West End’s Shaftesbury Theatre.
