Lance Baker will reprise his performance of Mike Daisey’s monologue, The Agony and The Ecstasy of Steve Jobs on Monday, March 12 at 8pm at A Red Orchid Theatre. As with the actor’s first offering on March 5, the event will serve as a fundraiser for the company’s ongoing work.

As previously reported, Daisey has recently released the monologue for royalty free performance. The piece focuses on the trip that the narrator, a self-professed “worshipper in the cult of Mac,” takes to China to see for himself how his favorite the electronic products are manufactured, and finds that the world’s thirst for the newest gadgets has far-reaching implications.

Baker is A Red Orchid Theatre ensemble member. Among his credits with the company are appearances in Becky Shaw, The Mandrake, Hunger and Thirst, and The Grey Zone, as well as directing the world premiere of Brett Neveu’s The Earl and co-directing A Very Merry Unauthorized Scientology Pageant.
