Zachry Boyd, Rhonda Preston, et al. Set for Black Ensemble Theater’s All In Love Is Fair

The Black Ensemble Theater has announced casting for All In Love Is Fair, written, produced and directed by Jackie Taylor, to run March 12-May 8, with an opening on March 20.

The show tells a story about how the people that live in the fictitious multi-cultural town of Love, Illinois move in and out of love. The production features the music of Luther Vandross as well as songs made popular by classic artists such as Brook Benton, James Ingram, Gladys Knight and Roberta Flack.

Rhonda Preston and Zachry Boyd will star as Renea and Zeland, an older couple experiencing a mid-life crisis. The cast will also feature Katrina Miller (Katie), Lyle Miller (Lee), Vasily Deris (Venie), Carrie (Cara), Lawrence Williams (Lewis), Aeriel Williams (Athena), Jenny Lamb (Jenean), Quinton Guyton (Cortez), Deja Taylor (Diedra), Dwight Neal (Dorian) and Donald Barnes (Doug).

Musical Director Robert Reddrick will be joined by a four-piece orchestra that includes Tracy Baker (bass), Herbert Walker (guitar), and Mark Moutrop (piano).

In addition to directing, Taylor is also the costume designer and is joined on the creative team by Rueben Echoles (choreographer), Denise Karczewski (lighting design), and Carl Ulaszek (set design).
