Richard Cotovsky, Preston Tate, Jr. to Star in Mary-Arrchie Theatre’s Superior Donuts

Mary-Arrchie Theatre has announced casting for Tracy Letts’ Superior Donuts, to run February 16 – March 25 at Angel Island Theatre. Matt Miller will direct the production.

The play centers on an aging anti-war activist and the proprietor of a rundown donut shop in the Uptown neighborhood of Chicago who hires a fast-talking African-American kid with big dreams and bigger troubles and finds that his world is quickly changed.

The company will feature Richard Cotovsky (Arthur Przybyszewski), Preston Tate, Jr. (Franco Wicks), Dereck Garner (Kevin Magee), Susan Monts Bologna (Lady Boyle), Millicent Hurley (Officer Randy Osteen), Karl Potthoff (Luther Flynn), Bradford Stevens (Officer James Bailey), Paige Smith (Max Tarasov), and Bryan Kelly (Kiril Ivakin).

The creative team will include Jenniffer Thusing (scenic design), Matthew Gawryk (lighting design), Stefin Sebrel (costume design), and Joe Court (sound design).
