The Goodman Theatre's production of Anton Chekhov's The Seagull, opened on Monday, October 25 in the company's Owen Theatre. Robert Falls has adapted and directed the production.

The company features Francis Guinan (Peter Sorin), Mary Beth Fisher (Irina Arkadina), Janet Ulrich Brooks (Polina), Rebecca Buller (Maid), Cliff Chamberlain (Boris Trigorin), Dietrich Gray (Yakov), Stephen Louis Grush (Konstantin Trepliov), Scott Jaeck (Dr. Eugene Dorn), Kelly O'Sullivan (Masha), Steve Pickering (Ilia Shamrayev), Demetrios Troy (Simon Medvendenko), and Heather Wood (Nina Zarietchnaya).

Among the opening night attendees were playwright Rebecca Gilman and the Goodman's Executive Director Roche Schulfer.
