Casting has been announced for the Bailiwick Repertory Theatre's return production of The Christmas Schooner, to run November 29-January 1. Mary C. Beidler will direct.

Inspired by historical tales of German and Swiss immigrants who sailed on ships like the Rouse Simmons, The Christmas Schooner tells the love story of Peter and Alma Stossel and their pioneering spirit in the early 19th century.

The cast will star Laura McClain as Alma Stossel, John Leen as Peter, and Jim Sherman as Grandfather Gus; feature Catherine Battocletti, Kevin Bishop, Kellie Cundiff, Samantha Dubina, Kathleen Campbell Gibson, Kent Joseph, Mark LeBeau, and Tom Shea; and the children in the cast will include Jack Mulopulos as young Karl Stossel, Mitchell Rose as Karl at 16, and Emma Chanen as Mary Claire Daugherty.
