Full Cast, Creative Team Set for Steppenwolf’s Young Adult Glass Menagerie

The full cast and creative team have been announced for the Steppenwolf for Young Adults production of The Glass Menagerie, October 21-November 9. Yasen Peyankov will direct this all African- American production in Steppenwolf’s Downstairs Theatre.
Tennessee Williams’ classic memory play explores the realities of Tom, a poet, stifled between his overbearing mother and his crippled sister. The cast will feature James T. Alfred as Tom, Shanésia Davis as Amanda, Anthony Fleming III as The Gentleman Caller, and Nambi E. Kelley as Laura.
The design team will include Martin Andrew (sets), Robert Milburn & Michael Bodeen (original music and sound), Natasha Djukich (costumes), and Keith Parham (lights).
