David Cromer Among Jeff Awards’ Non-Equity Nominations

The Jeff Awards have announced 114 nominations in 24 categories for Non-Equity Jeff Awards, which honor excellence in Chicago theatres not under a union contract. The awards will be presented at a ceremony at the Park West on June 8 beginning at 6 pm.

The nominations were led by Theo Ubique’s Evita, Lifeline Theatre’s world premiere adaptation of Mariette in Ecstasy, and The House Theatre of Chicago’s Rose and the Rime, with seven nominations each.

David Cromer received a nomination for directing Our Town for The Hypocrites, with that staging also receiving a nomination for Production – Play. Cromer also directed the current production of Our Town, playing Off-Broadway at the Barrow Street Theatre.
