Adventure Stage Chicago has announced the plays that will comprise its 2012-2013 season, to be offered at the Vittum Theater.

In the fall of 2012, the company will produce Marco Ramirez’ Six Stories Tall: a play about mermaids, monsters and spray paint!, directed by Tom Arvetis. The piece, inspired by Hispanic folklore, blends influences including comic books, video games, hip-hop music and mythology, to tell six fantastical tales.

The company’s second offering for the year will be Carlos Murillo’s Augusta and Noble, to run in the spring, directed by Tom Arvetis. The show centers on a young woman born of Latino immigrant parents who seeks to bridge her reality of home with theirs, despite what feels like a world of difference.
