Silk Road Rising is set to present a free staged reading of Israeli playwright Motti Lerner's Paulus, February 17-19 at The Historic Chicago Temple Building's Pierce Hall. Daniella Topol will direct.

Paulus, presented in a translation by Hillel Harkin, explores Paulus of Tarsus, the founder of Christianity, and his vision to universalize monotheism. This historical drama weaves through Paul's life, guided by his fears and inspirations, and dramatizes the role that Jesus played on Paul's psyche after the crucifixion.

The cast will include Joseph Anthony Foronda, Adam Poss, Diana Simonzadeh, Brent Barnes, Lacy Katherine Campbell, Bryson Engelen, Justin James Farley, Christopher Meister, and Chris Popio.
