Broadway's Matilda Begins Digital Lottery Tomorrow

Discount tickets will be offered online and at the Shubert Theatre.

Matilda The Musical will launch a new digital lottery beginning tomorrow, October 27, offering a limited number of $32 seats each day via MatildaLottery.com. Entries can be submitted the day of the preferred performance by 11am for matinees or by 3pm for evening performances. Entrants may choose to be notified of winning via email or text, and winners may claim up to two tickets, which will be held for purchase at the Shubert Theatre box office.

The production will also begin offering a limited number of $27 general rush tickets (also limited to two per customer) at the opening of the box office each day. Cash or credit will be accepted for all lottery and rush tickets, which are non-transferable and may be purchased at the box office only with valid photo ID.

Matilda opened at Broadway's Shubert Theatre on April 11, 2013. Based on the beloved children's novel by Roald Dahl, the musical features a score by Tim Minchin and a Tony-winning book by Dennis Kelly. The four girls currently sharing the title role are Mattea Conforti, Rileigh McDonald, MiMi Ryder, and Alexandra Vlachos. The principal cast also features Natalie Venetia Belcon (Mrs. Phelps), Rick Holmes (Mr. Wormwood), Alison Case (Miss Honey), Amy Spanger (Mrs. Wormwood), and Christopher Sieber (Miss Trunchbull).
