Bryce Pinkham will return to his Tony-nominated role of Monty Navarro in the Tony-winning Broadway musical A Gentleman's Guide to Love and Murder beginning July 28 at the Walter Kerr Theatre. Pinkham departed the production earlier this year to take on the role of Peter in the short-lived revival of Wendy Wasserstein's The Heidi Chronicles, opposite Elisabeth Moss and Jason Biggs. Jeff Kready had been playing the role of the murderous Monty in Gentleman's Guide since January 20.

"I am positively rhapsodic over the prospect of returning to Highhurst Castle," Pinkham said in a statement. "I am particularly overjoyed to be reunited with my hero and partner(s) in crime, Jefferson Mays. By the way, do the D'ysquith's know I'm coming back? I bet they'll be tickled to death."

A Gentleman’s Guide to Love and Murder also stars Tony Award winner Jefferson Mays, Scarlett Strallen, Catherine Walker, and Judy Blazer, with Sandra DeNise, Joanna Glushak, Kristen Hahn, Greg Jackson, Eddie Korbich, Mark Ledbetter, Kevin Massey, Jennifer Smith, Kathy Voytko, and Price Waldman. Tony winner Darko Tresnjak directs.

A Gentleman's Guide to Love and Murder tells the story of Monty Navarro, who has received the news that he is descended from a noble family and could become the next Earl of Highhurst. There are only eight issues standing in his way: the other heirs (all played by Jefferson Mays) who precede him in line for the title. What does Monty choose to do? Eliminate them, of course. The production features a book and lyrics by Robert L. Freedman and music and lyrics by Steven Lutvak.
