Cameron Diaz, America Ferrera, John Gallagher Jr., Mark Indelicato, Judith Light, Rosie Perez, Ben Stiller, and Michael Urie help the cast of Shrek the Musical celebrate opening night.

Shrek The Musical, an adaptation of the hit 2001 film, officially bowed at the Broadway Theatre on Sunday night. At the show's afterparty, filmdom's Cameron Diaz (second from right), who voiced Princess Fiona in the movie, joined the show's leads: Brian d'Arcy James (Shrek), Sutton Foster (Fiona), and Daniel Breaker (Donkey).

Christopher Sieber brings the audience to its knees with his hilarious work as the diminutive Lord Farquaad.

John Tartaglia, who knows a thing or two about puppets, knows what he's doing as Pinocchio in the show.

Ben Stiller -- who co-starred with Diaz in the hit comedy There's Something About Mary -- was among the opening night guests.

Many of the starring cast from ABC's Ugly Betty attended the opening, including leading lady America Ferrera.

Here's Michael Urie, who plays scheming assistant Marc St. James.

Theater veteran and Daytime Emmy Award winner Judith Light, who plays Claire Meade, was also on hand.

Mark Indelicato, who plays Betty's theater-loving nephew Justin, was another opening night guest.

Tony Award winner Christine Ebersole, who will star in the upcoming Broadway revival of Blithe Spirit, joined the celebration.

Here are Marylouise Burke and Tony winner John Gallagher Jr., both of whom starred in Shrek librettist-lyricist David Lindsay-Abaire's Kimberly Akimbo.

The hilarious Rosie Perez and director George C. Wolfe caught up at the opening.

Tony winner Phylicia Rashad, last seen on Broadway in Cat on a Hot Tin Roof, was a welcome first-night addition.

The Little Mermaid's lovely Sierra Boggess will appear in February in the City Center Encores! production of Music in the Air.

The wonderful Hope Davis is currently on the big screen in Synecdoche, New York.

Finally, here is one of Broadway's most adorable couples: Sebastian Arcelus, currently appearing in Jersey Boys, and Stephanie J. Block, soon to come to Broadway in 9 to 5.
