Liam Redhead and Dayton Tavares will join the cast of Broadway's Billy Elliot the Musical, alternating with continuing cast members David Alvarez, Alex Ko and Trent Kowalik in the show's title role. As previously announced, current Billy Tommy Batchelor will star in the musical's national tour which begins March 18 in Chicago. His final Broadway performance will be December 11.

Based on the 2000 film of the same name, the show tells the tale of a young boy with a dream of being a dancer. The show won 10 Tony Awards, including Best Musical.

The production currently also stars Kate Hennig as Mrs. Wilkinson, Gregory Jbara as Dad, Carole Shelley as Grandma, Will Chase as Tony, and Trevor Braun and Keean Johnson as Michael.

13-year-old Tavares previously played Billy in the Sydney and Melbourne productions of the musical. 14-year-old Redhead is a student at Toronto's National Ballet School. First performance dates for both boys will be announced soon.
