The cast and creative team for the Broadway production of Teresa Rebeck’s Seminar met the press at an event held at Foxwoods Theater Rehearsal Studios on Wednesday, September 28. The production, directed by Sam Gold, will play Broadway’s John Golden Theatre, beginning performances on October 27 in anticipation of an official opening on November 20.
The comedy centers on four young writers who are participating in a private seminar taught by the brilliant but unpredictable Leonard (Rickman), an international literary legend. But as Leonard deems some students more promising than others, tensions arise, sex is used as a weapon, and alliances are made and broken.
Alan Rickman will star as Leonard, with his students played by Hamish Linklater, Jerry O’Connell, Hettiene Park, and Lily Rabe.
