Footage from Ellen DeGeneres' surprise cameo appearance in the Tuesday, September 7 performance of Broadway's Promises, Promises, will be aired on The Ellen DeGeneres Show on September 21, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

DeGeneres appeared as a nurse in the production, which stars Sean Hayes and Kristin Chenoweth.

The musical features a score by Burt Bacharach and Hal David and includes such hits as the title song, "Knowing When to Leave" and "I'll Never Fall in Love Again." For Rob Ashford's new production, two songs have been added to the show: "Say A Little Prayer" and "A House is Not a Home"
