Tony Award winner Trent Kowalik and his Billy Elliot castmate Thommie Retter will conduct a A Class Act NY workshop on the musical on March 21 at Ripley-Grier Studios. Additional participants in the workshop, including a talent agent, will be announced at a later date.

During the class, Kowalik and Retter will guide participants through the show's finale, including both the song lyrics and the dance combination. In addition, Kowalik will work with the students on the character's accent and a scene from the show. The participants will also have the chance to hone their audition technique in the workshop. A break during the class will be more informal and allow for Q&A about Kowalik's career and the his time with Billy Elliot in particular.
