The full cast and creative team have been announced for the American Repertory Theatre (ART) world premiere production of Anne Washburn's The Communist Dracula Pageant, October 18-November 9, to be directed by Anne Kauffman in the Zero Arrow Theatre.

Washburn's new play draws from trial transcripts and Romanian folklore to explore the final days of Nicolae and Elena Ceausescu, the autocrats who ruled Romania from 1965-1989. The cast will star Thomas Derrah as Nicolae Ceausescu, Karen MacDonald as Elena Ceausescu, Will LeBow as Vlad Tepes, and Remo Airaldi in multiple roles; and feature Kaaron Briscoe, Sheila Carrasco, Shawn Cody, John Kuntz, Matt Maher, Jim Senti, Josh Stammel, and Roger K. Stewart.

The creative team will include Doug Elkins (movement), Michael Friedman (music), Mimi Lien (set design), Tyler Micoleau (lighting design), David Remedios (sound design), and Christal Weatherly (costume design).
