Retrop Productions to Present Darling, A New Musical by Ryan Scott Oliver and Brett Ryback

Retrop Productions and Emerson College’s RareWorks Theatre Company are set to present the world premiere of Ryan Scott Oliver and Brett Ryback’s Darling, A New Musical, March 1-2 at Emerson College’s Semel Theater. Michael Bello, a senior BFA Musical Theatre Major at Emerson, will direct.

Darling, which has spent nearly two months in on-campus development at Emerson, follows upper crust teenager Ursula Morgan in 1929 Boston. Neglected by her parents, Ursula encounters Peter, a charming boy on the run from the Captain of Police.

The cast will include Maximilian Sangerman (Peter), Lauren Chapman (Ursula), Michael Niederer (Rose), Chelsea Williams (Stella), Brock Bivens, Amanda Spinella, Lily LaGravenese, Michael Albert, Andrew Barret Cox, Hallie Brevetti, Sara Deviney, Natasha Edwards, Gabe Gibbs, Braden Joyce-Schleimer, Matt Koplik, Melody Madarasz, Eric Maxwell, Sarah Mitchel, Hayley Moir Jake Novak, Chris Renalds, Julia Sinks, and Andrew Spatafora.

The design team will be comprised of Anne Sherer (set design), Haley Vigil (costume design), Kevin Semagin (lighting design), Josh Klein (sound design), and Tobey Zaretsky (choreography).
