Lindsay Crouse, Johnny Lee Davenport, Paula Plum Set for Gloucester Stage 2012 Season

Gloucester Stage Artistic Director Eric C. Engel has announced Gloucester Stage’s 2012 Summer Play Pass season, which will run from June 14 through September 16.

The season will begin with Round and Round the Garden, the third installment of The Norman Conquests trilogy by Alan Ayckbourn, directed by Eric C. Engel (June 14-July 1). New cast member Paula Plum joins the returning cast members which include Academy Award nominee and Gloucester resident Lindsay Crouse, Richard Snee, Barlow Adamson, Sarah Newhouse, and Steven Barkhimer.

The Gloucester Stage professional summer season also includes the rarely performed musical Carnival (July 5-22) and Bill Cain’s gripping Nine Circles (August 16-26), both directed by Engel. Additionally, the season will include Athol Fugard’s Master Harold and the Boys (July 26- August 12), directed by Benny Ambush. Johnny Lee Davenport, recipient of the 2011 Elliot Norton Award for Outstanding Actor, is featured in the Gloucester Stage cast.

In addition, Gloucester Stage presents Beth Henley’s family drama Crimes of the Heart, winner of the Pulitzer Prize and Drama Critics Circle Award, directed by Carmel O’Reilly (August 30 – September 16).
