McCaela Donovan, Kennedy Reilly-Pugh, Lisa Yuen et al. Set for New Rep’s Hot Mikado

New Repertory Theatre has announced casting for its production of Hot Mikado, featuring book and lyrics adapted by David H. Bell with musical adaptation and arrangements by Rob Bowman. Kate Warner will direct the production, which will play the Arsenal Center for the Arts, May 3-22.

This adaptation of a classic musical by Gilbert and Sullivan has tunes and styles ranging from jazz and swing to gospel and blues.

The cast will include Jordan Ahnquist (Pish-Tush), Edward M. Barker (Pooh-Bah), Calvin Braxton (Ko-Ko), Cheo Bourne (Nanki-Poo), David Costa (Gentleman of Japan), Michele A. DeLuca (Peep-Bo) McCaela Donovan (Yum-Yum), Aimee Doherty (Pitti-Sing), Alaina Fragoso (Lady of Japan), Kennedy Reilly-Pugh (The Mikado), and Lisa Yuen (Katisha).

The production will feature musical direction by Todd C. Gordon, choreography by Kelli Edwards, scenic design by Janie E. Howland, costume design by Frances Nelson, lighting design by Franklin Meissner, Jr., and sound design by David Remedios.
