 | | Jane Monheit | The Mahaiwe Performing Arts Center has announced their fall and winter programming.
Among the highlights will be concerts by Rickie Lee Jones (October 30), Jane Monheit (November 15), and John Pizzarelli (December 19), as well as an appearance by the Shangri-La Chinese Acrobats (November 13). The center will also present the Metropolitan Opera "Live in HD" broadcast of Puccini's Turandot (November 7) and Offenbach's Les Contes d'Hoffmann (December 19).
Also on tap will be the Symphony Space's "Selected Shorts" production of Tales of Amazement: Surprising Stories from the World of Yiddish Literature (December 6), which will feature actors John Shea and Isaiah Sheffer.
The Center will also screen such classic movies as Mary Poppins (November 6), Notorious (November 22), The Wizard of Oz (November 28), Miracle on 34th Street (December 20), and The Polar Express (December 22).
