Neil Barclay, chief executive officer and president of The National Black Arts Festival, has resigned from his post, according to The Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

Before coming to NBAF, Barclay had led the August Wilson Center for African American Culture in Pittsburgh.

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution quotes a statement issued from the NBAF, which declares that Barclay has already left the organization "to actively pursue other professional opportunities," but would consult with NBAF until a replacement was found.
