Tony Winner Karen Olivo Stars in Fun Home

Forward Theatre Company's production of Fun Home, starring Tony winner Karen Olivo, has released its first photos from the musical's run at the Overture Center for the Arts. Currently in performances, the show runs through November 25.
Jennifer Uphoff Gray directs Jeanine Tesori and Lisa Kron's Tony Award-winning musical, which is described as follows: "Graphic novelist Alison Bechdel's father was a volatile and brilliant man whose secrets defined her family and her life. Bruce taught high school English, ran the family's funeral home business, and was obsessed with restoring their old house. When he dies unexpectedly, Alison digs deeply into her childhood memories to try and understand how his choices may have influenced her own."
Olivo stars as Alison and is joined by Matt Daniels (Bruce), Clare Arena Haden (Helen), Rachael Zientek (Medium Alison), Chantae Miller (Small Alison), Solana Ramirez-Garcia (Joan), Andy White (Roy, etc.), Tryg Gundersen (Christian), Donovan Lonsdale (John), and Walker Stephenson (Christian and John cover).
The production features scenic design by Keith Pitts, lighting design by Jason Fassl, costume design by Scott Rott, sound design by James Uphoff, and prop design by Pam Miles. Music direction is by Mark Wurzelbacher, and choreography is by Maureen Janson. Sarah Deming-Henes is the stage manager.
