The Harold Green Jewish Theatre Company in Toronto has announced its 2010-2011 season, which will open with Vern Thiessen's Lenin's Embalmers (October 30 - November 21). Geoffrey Brumlick will direct this look at the behind-the-scenes machinations that went in to preserving the Soviet leader's body for the ages.

Also on the theater's schedule is Jim Brochu's solo show Zero Hour (March 26 - April 16). Piper Laurie directs this bio drama about the late Zero Mostel. The theater's third full production will be the new revue To Life (May 13-29). Conceived by Avery Saltzman and Tim French, this show celebrates life from birth to bar mitzvah and from marriage to death, using songs of the American Jewish musical theater canon.

In addition to these productions, the company will also offer four installments of its Conversations on the Green series, which features Jewish notables from the world of theater, art, literature and politics speaking on how their religion has influenced their life and chosen profession. Guests for the coming year include Amy Sky (September 20), Edward Greenspan (December 6), David Mirvish (April 11), and Jeanne Beker (May 16).
