Seattle 90’s cult quartet Venus Envy is reuniting for one night only on Tuesday, December 9 at the Triple Door. Venus Envy band members are Laura Love, Lisa Koch, Linda Severt, and Linda Schierman. The popular folk-funk foursome first started performing together in 1990 and disbanded in 1995 after two recordings and a slew of national touring dates. The quartet produced two recordings: "Unarmed and Dangerous," (their debut EP), and their oh-so-gay twisted holiday classic, “I’ll Be a Homo for Xmas." Famous for their live shows, the band put on some legendary Seattle holiday concerts at the now-defunct Backstage in Ballard.
Love is a major label recording artist, has released 10 CD’s, an autobiography ("You Ain’t Got No Easter Clothes") and continues to tour with The Laura Love Band. Koch has recorded 4 solo CD’s, tours her solo music/comedy act nationally, and is a member of sketch-comedy duo, Dos Fallopia (with comic Peggy Platt). Koch and Platt are best known locally for their "Ham for the Holidays" wacko holiday series. Linda Severt is a multi-instrumentalist, singer-songwriter and juggler. She has recorded 3 CD’s and performs as a family entertainer ("Juggletunes"). Linda Schierman has one recording, is a former member of Seattle duo Raw Sugar, and currently resides in the Spokane area.
