Frankenocchio (The Adventures of a Divine Boy-Toy)

About the Show

The smash hit of 2003 returns on a grand scale to The Empy Space Theater. Frankenocchio is a dark and whimsical theatrical extravaganza composed entirely of Bunraku style puppets designed by Monkey Wrench Theatre’s Brian Kooser, and featuring live music from Seattle’s legendary Circus Contraption. At a seedy, run-down circus, Benevecchio, a kind-hearted circus geek and hopeless drunkard, prays for a son to keep him company in his old age. The Lord resonds to Benevecchio’s pious plea by cutting the strings of his favorite boy-toy Frankenocchio, sending this divine marionette plunging to earth. Upon impact, Frankenocchio’s head and body are sent off in separate directions and begin the search to reunite. The quest of one head to find one body has never been so funny, so disgusting, so insane, so touching, or so sad.
