About This Show

Fiddler on the Roof is the classic story of tradition, love and family that takes place in a Russian Jewish Village in 1905. The way of life for a poor milkman, Tevye, is threatened when his daughters wish to marry men not chosen by a matchmaker, thus breaking tradition. The stability of his life and that of the village is threatened by the girls, the terrible ethnic violence against the Jews at the time, and political revolution in Russia.
