Washington Improv Theater (WIT), the area’s premier creator of improvised entertainment, juices 2003 with a new series of shows.
The 7:30pm shows features WIT’s signature presentation Big Bang, in which an entire universe of scenes, games, songs and stories spring from a void, based on suggestions from the audience, players and whatever is in the air that
night.
The 10pm shows each offer one specialty group or classic Chicago-style long-form structure, all featuring WIT members: the Harold, in which the troupe explodes one idea into a
cornucopia of unconnected scenes that eventually weave
together (3/28); the Armando Diaz, in which one player’s monologues inspire the evening’s scenes
(3/29); the three-person troupe Biscuitville (4/4,
4/12); the all-female troupe Always A Bridesmaid
(4/5); and the two-person troupe CK1 (4/11).
