Potomac Theatre Festival 2005 is an annual festival of political theater held at the Mainstage of the Olney Theatre Center for the Arts. SCHEDULE La Tragédie de Carmen (June 22 - July 17): Peter Brook, Jean-Claude Carriére, and Marius Constant's adaption of Georges Bizet's Carmen Lovesong of the Electric Bear by Snoo Wilson: A fantastical play about Alan Turing, British codebreaker and father of the modern computer. Somewhere in the Pacific (July 11 - August 7): Neal Bell's play takes place on a cargo ship transporting sailors and marines to Japan during the final days of WWII. The American Dream with One for the Road (July 11 - August 7): Edward Albee's 'happy' tale celebrates the American family and the brass ring. Harold Pinter's playlet takes place in an unnamed totalitarian state in which a torturer confronts a family of his victims.
