Imagine a prison where the detainees began their incarceration as children and part of their rehabilitation is to continually rehearse a trapeze-based adaptation of Milton’s Paradise Lost. One young inmate takes the revolutionary messages of the piece to heart and plans to overthrow the prison. As the play begins, the star aerialist is murdered…and then a new warden comes to take over.
