McIntosh, who also serves as director and producer of Making It Big, has experienced the troubled lifestyle of a gangster. McIntosh, in 2001 was shot thirteen times by three assailants who ambushed him getting out of his car. McIntosh lost both of his legs, was in a coma for two months, and his best friend was murdered. Since then McIntosh has vowed to use the story of his troubled life to help others, and that vow inspired the writing of the stage play, Making It Big.
