The Shakespeare Theatre presents Macbeth directed by Michael Kahn. With “The Scottish Play,” The Shakespeare Theatre explores one of the most profound studies of evil ever written. With writing so poetically rich it is deemed operatic, Macbeth gives us a king with an insatiable lust for power and no chance against fate. Kelly McGillis returns to play Lady Macbeth, a character called “one of the wonders of the dramatic world.” Artistic Director Michael Kahn directs this masterpiece, one of Shakespeare’s most frenetic and absorbing tragedies.
