About This Show

When a show opens with a song called “What Do You Do With a B.A. in English?”, sung by a lead puppet named Princeton, you know you’re in for something exciting. And that’s what you’ll get with the seismically hilarious, seriously-for-adults Tony-winning Best Musical of 2004. Songs like “Everyone’s a Little Bit Racist,” “The Internet Is For Porn” and “If You Were Gay” rocketed Avenue Q to the list of longest-running Broadway shows, satirizing (with its very big heart) the “you can do anything” message of kids’ shows from the 70s and 80s. Princeton and friends Kate Monster, Christmas Eve, and Gary Coleman might not be special in the grand scheme, but they’re awfully special to each other – and that’s even more important. (Recommended for ages 16 and up with parental advisement due to adult language and themes)
