About This Show

Moscow: 1877. A stolen glance across the crowded train station ignites the legendary love affair between Anna Karenina and Count Vronsky. Behind them, a train roars from the station, bearing the heartbroken Constantine Levin, reeling from his adored Kitty’s rejection, home to his country estate. As the train hurtles north, Anna’s affair with Vronsky blazes. Torn between love and duty, Anna abandons the confines of Russian society and her marriage for the entrancing Vronsky. As the scenery speeds by, Levin swears off love and society, vowing to bind himself instead to the land. He farms with the peasants until a glance of his beloved Kitty’s face through the window of a passing carriage reawakens his passions and his heart. Anna and Levin have never met. Yet in this stunning and unforgettable adaptation of Leo Tolstoy’s epic, their stories seamlessly interweave in a gripping tapestry of passion, scandal and betrayal.
