The Ghostlight Residency

Each season, Vermont Stage partners with one local artist or artist group to develop bold work that expands what we can offer beyond our mainstage productions, including devised, experimental, or interdisciplinary performance. Presentations take place on the dark days of a mainstage run, often on the existing set, inviting audiences into a theatre space that is already alive with another story. The result is a short series of performances and post-show conversations that keep the ghostlight on between productions: intimate, surprising, and rooted in our community.​​

The LeAb Iteration Lab

The LeAb Iteration Lab is a creative partnership between Leah Souffrant and Abby Paige dedicated to performance research. The Lab is led by a shared commitment to the processual — iterating, risk-taking, mistake-making, and the revelations that emerge from repetition, rehearsal, and revision. Together and with audiences, they create experimental performance works to better understand how people perceive and make meaning. With the Ghostlight Residency, they will create a new iteration of a movement-based, devised performance that has been in development since 2023.
