About the Show

Barbara Field’s The Boxcar Children is adapted from novels by Gertrude Chandler Warner. In the summer of 1930, four siblings are suddenly orphaned when a drowning accident claims the lives of their parents who gave their lives to save them. While the grown-ups are trying to decide their fate, the children take matters into their own hands. With authorities and criminals hot on their trail, the new orphan band fights to stay together, and make a grand adventure out of a dangerous life on the rail.
