The Diary of Anne Frank is based upon a book called Anne Frank: Diary of a Young Girl and is the dramatic story of a young Jewish girl hiding from Nazi persecution during WWII. The Pulitzer Prize winning Goodrich and Hackett script tells this story from a very personal and emotional viewpoint adding realism and connecting with the audience by evoking empathy and compassion.
