Funny Girl is the Broadway musical that pays homage to Fanny Brice, one of the most celebrated comediennes of all time. Barbara Streisand starred in the musical on Broadway and reprized her role in the film version (receiving the coveted Oscar for Best Actress), making international hits of the immortal songs, “Don’t Rain on My Parade” and “People.” The show portrays her stormy relationship with entrepreneur and gambler Nick Arnstein.
